Frank Patania Jr Morenci Turquoise Bolo Tie

The photos don't do this bolo tie justice. This has all the hallmarks of the great silversmith designer Frank Patania Jr.'s jewelry from the mid-1950s. This bolo tie is heavily influenced by his father's work from the same time. The beautiful single slab of Morenci turquoise is set in a smooth bezel shadow box setting. The shadow box setting has deep chiseled lines on the vertical sides of the bolo. The combination of vibrant sky blue turquoise, silver and black leather make for a standout piece. The leather cord-tie is measures 40 inches. The tie is marked with the crossed FP, the thunderbird shop mark, and sterling.
