First Prize Hopi Bowl by Violet Huma
This is a large and handsome redware bowl with traditional Hopi designs signed "Violet Huma". The geometric polychrome designs wrap around the entire outside of the bowl as well as a wide band on the inside of the bowl, just below the lip. Attached to the base of the bowl is a first prize ribbon from the Museum of Northern Arizona, Flagstaff. It has penciled on the bottom 3-63 which may indicate that it was purchased in March, 1963.
