Figural Wasco Sally Bag

This is a well used classic Wasco sally bag with sturgeons and people woven in green or brown wool. The bag has a rolled leather rim and is started in cotton cord, likely hop string. It has extensive moth damage as illustrated in the photographs. Some of the moth damage has exposed warp threads. This is not a basket for someone who seeks perfection. This is a basket for a collector who prefers baskets which were actually made to use and show their use.
