Eskimo Carved Ivory Fish Toothpick

This is a long narrow fish carved from a fossilized ivory slab and delicately scrimshawed with design on the warm creamy yellow side. The other side is the dark brown outer "skin" of the ivory.  As thin as this piece is, the carver was able to slit the bottom and place the ivory pick inside and attach it with a small round ivory piece. This is an exceptional piece and will be an unusual piece for a collection.
