Inuit Carved Billikin Couple
These are a very happy couple with big smiles on their faces. They were carved as a couple from walrus ivory by an Inuit in Alaska about 60 years ago. It is unusual to have a carver make a couple as they are almost always seen as single figures. They were collected by a man who was on a Coast Guard ship stationed in in Alaska in the 1960's.
