19th Century Puget Sound Partially Imbricated Berry Basket

This is a very old and very dark Puget Sound berry basket. It has narrow vertical bands of imbrication, which intersect at the points with three wider horizontal "zig zag" bands of imbrication. Below the rim are leather loops and cords and a single thick woven cord loop. The basket is stiff. It has a slight split at one end. This basket has real character!
