Sarsi (Tsuu T'ina) Partially Beaded Moccasins

These are old, well used soft soled high top moccasins with diverse abstract design elements in 10 different colors of beads. The maker used sinew and thread in the beadwork and used sinew to attach the soft bottoms to the body of the moccasins and thread to attach the high top hide and a red stroud band under it. The high top hide on the left moccasin has had insect damage. The sole is separated from the moccasins at the heel in both moccasins and the there is a hide patch to the toe of each. All that being said, these are still a good and visual piece of 19th century beadwork.
