Excavated Unfinished Eskimo Ivory Carving

This small unfinished carving of a bowhead whale is an interesting artifact.  It is very "blocky" giving it almost the look of a cubist sculpture from the early 20th Century. It allows one to see how the early Eskimo art and artifacts were made.
