Pair of Hopi Pottery Moccasins

A charming pair of pottery high top moccasins with a star pattern on the vamp and painted buttons on the outside. The moccasins are in excellent condition with the exception of two popped out areas on the bottom of the right moccasin.  These were collected by Philip and Nannie Sayles, career employees of the Bureau of Indian Affairs who worked as teachers at Keams Canyon from December 1905 to October 1906.
