Germantown Navajo Weaving

A finely woven Navajo germantown weaving with good colors and classic design. The piece is in generally very good condition with some small moth grazing and one 5/8" slit near one edge where the warps have been cut and another 1" slit with cut warps near the side.  The weaving has wool warp rather than the cotton warp so often used which tended to weaken the piece over time.  The only color run is in the candy stripe serration sections.  It is somewhat faded at one end and the original added fringe is worn but overall it is bright and dramatic.
