Kwakwaka'wakw (Kwakiutl) Carved Bowl

This wonderful bowl is a miniature example of a "House Dish" which was filled with various foods during a Potlatch ceremony.  The fierce figure represented in this bowl was probably a wolf.  Other than normal wear, the bowl is in excellent condition.  This striking piece has great presence and appeal.
