Inuit Soapstone Carving of a Hunter

Well carved figure of an Inuit hunter with raised right hand which at one time held a spear (the object he holds in the picture is not the original spear which is missing). The figure is carved from a very dark colored soapstone which the artist has succeeded in giving it a high gloss finish.
