Hunting Tableau of Eskimo in a Kayak and Walrus

This is a small tableau with an Eskimo in a Kayak with a raised harpoon preparing to harpoon a walrus on an ice block.The harpoon is attached by a sinew cord to an inflated seal float behind the Eskimo on the kayak. The walrus is carved from fossilized ivory giving it a warm brownish tone. The Eskimo is carved so it looks like he is putting all his force into the act of throwing the harpoon, which is a nice touch to the scene.
