Siberian Eskimo Walrus Ivory Crochet Hook

This is an unusually delicate and artful piece of Eskimo scrimshawed carving. The scrimshaw is in green and red ink and includes two arrows on opposite sides of the body and "01 T.I." between the arrows on one side and 4 cyrillic letters on the other side. It has an open center carved away around a narrow four sided center with originally four outer thin curved supports, one is missing, holding a small rectangle with rectangular designs on it including two inlays, one of which is missing. Even given the missing support and inlay, this is a beautiful and very unusual piece of art.
