Primitive Eskimo Fishing Lure

$ 65.00

This is a primitive fishing lure with a carved wood body with a sharpened steel point secured at one end by cotton string and whale sinew with sinew extending behind the body.  At the front of the body is an oval piece of steel also secured to the body with cotton string with a cotton cordage attached to the body, possibly by sinew.  I purchased it as part of a collection of older Eskimo artifacts from a California museum.
