Eskimo Carved Walrus Ivory Seal Handled Letter Opener

This is an artfully designed letter opener. It is designed in the form of an elegant knife with the blade curving down and then up and was carved in a manner so that the lower half of the blade is very thin and almost translucent. The handle is in the form of a seal and the curves from its head to it's body to it's tail into the curves of the blade create an undulating form. This is a handsome piece for the desk or shelf.
