Eskimo Beaded Basket with Lid

This is an unusual and very visual Eskimo beaded basket with designs on the body and lid in deep maroon and white glass beads.  It has four beaded medallions on the body with two different designs which alternate with each other.  Between the medallions is a short vertical white line outlined in maroon beads.  These four bands are on the lid extending out from a similar band around the knob on the lid.
