Carved Fossilized Ivory Bowhead Whale

A well carved bowhead whale carved from a piece of fossilized ivory with a handsome graduation of dark brown and cream colored ivory.  It has a nice treatment of the side flippers.  It has a small museum or collection number, L. 1231, on the lower right side of the whale.
