Beaded Plains Moccasins
An attractive pair of Plains fully beaded moccasins, probably Sioux with an unusual blue upper part with evenly spaced red lines which create small rectangles across the foot. These moccasins were collected by the English Vaudeville quick change artist Owen McGiveney in the early 20th C. McGiveney was fascinated by the American Indians and collected older pieces during his travels while performing in the Mid-West
