Tlingit Rattletop Basket

This is a beautiful Tlingit rattletop basket. It is finely woven with even precise stitches. It is unusual because the background on the design band on the lid is black but the background on the two design bands on the body is dark brown. It still has the cardboard that was stitched on the inside bottom of the basket when it was originally sold. There are no breaks but the top of the lid is slightly dented.
