Beautiful Pair of 19th Century Great Lakes Garters

Each loom beaded panel has been divided into five sections of design. The two outer sections and the middle section are made up of horizontal sawtooth bands in various colors and the two other interior sections are divided into eight diamonds. The beads are very small and the color choices of the woman who made these are exceptional. The long fringes are made up of soft green, gold and red wool yarn. The beaded panels are in excellent condition with no bead loss. The fringe has had some moth damage so some of the yarn is shorter but this is not evident when looking at the pair.
