Plateau Beaded Bag with Flower and Whirling Log Design

This bag has a design of a fanciful flower plant with a soft blue whirling logs design on each side of it in the upper corners on a white background.  The beads used in this bag are very tiny with some of the greens and yellows faceted which helps to date this bag as well as indicating that it was made in Eastern Washington or in  the Pendleton area of Eastern Oregon.  An unusual aspect of this bag is that the beading on the background is vertical rather than the much more common horizontal beading.  In the early 1900's, the whirling logs were considered to be "Good Luck" symbols.
