Hopi Polychrome Jar by Clinton Polacca Nampeyo

This is a striking example of Clinton Polacca Nampeyo's work. One of his hallmark design themes, the migration pattern is featured here in red and black on a yellow jar. The base is signed Clinton Polacca "Nampeyo". It is in very good condtion.

Clinton Polacca Nampeyo (active 1975-present) is Hopi/Tewa from the Kachina Clan. He is known for his black and red on yellow jars. Clinton is the great-grandson of Nampeyo and the grandson of Fannie Nampeyo. Clinton learned the craft from his grandmother, Fannie.
