Sioux Bag with Beaded Cavalry Saber and Sharps Carbine

This is a very rare pictorial bag. The front has a beaded Cavalry Sharps carbine and saber and the back has a beaded war shield with eagle feathers. The bag and fringe are stained with yellow ochre. The bag sides are not flat. Rather they are rounded out and were purposely made to hold some item or items with a drawstring closure at the top. The assumption would be that the item or items related to the Sioux battles with the US Cavalry and was important to the warrior who owned this bag. I am not aware of another Sioux bag from this period with the saber and carbine beaded on it.
