Plateau Beaded "Landscape" Bag with Mountain Scene

This is a good example of a kind of Plateau bag made in the 30's and early 40's with a landscape design with contoured beadwork delineating hills and mountains.  This style of bag is very "folky" and at the same time has the impact more of a painting than just a beaded bag when seen on the wall.  These bags are much less common than the more typical bags with flowers or elk, eagles or other figures and would be a good addition to a collection of Plateau beaded bags.  This bag was originally bought from a Cowlitz family with strong ties to the Yakima.
