Antique Eskimo Harpoon with Rigging

This is a short Eskimo harpoon. These were used to harpoon seals at their breathing holes. It was not necessary to have the longer and heavier harpoons in these circumstances. The foreshaft, socket, ice pick and toggle harpoon head are all bone. The finger rest is walrus ivory. This harpoon has all of its rigging. Unfortunately, one tip of the harpoon head is broken off.
