Violet Huma Hopi Redware Jar

This is a beautiful Hopie Redware jar by Violet Huma (1930-1982) who was active from the 1960's to the 1980's. She was a very traditional potter using traditional designs, techniques and material. This is a very imposing piece of art. It won honorable mention in May, 1975 at the Museum of Northern Arizona Hopi Craftsman Exhibition. The jar is in excellent condition.
