Northwest Coast Long Earring

This single long earring is composed of alternating panels of 1" narrow faceted blue glass tube beads and red "white heart" glass pony beads with thick leather spacers.  The beads and spacers are strung on old cotton cords.  It has a wonderful brass thimble that is suspended at the bottom of the earring.  This earring may have been collected among the Quinault on the western Washington coast as the collection it came out of had a number of early 1900's Quinault baskets and some other items related to the Quinault.

L. 10" ( to the bottom of the thimble)
