Unusual Beaded "U" Shaped Bag

This is a most unusual bag.  I don't even know if it is American Indian.  It has a central Native tanned leather area on both sides that has a a different beaded design on each side.  The designs are open with concentric bands of bead outlining the elements of the designs. It is edged with a gold ribbed fabric tape with black bead separating the ribbed fabric from the leather and at the fold.  The top has a black 1/2" fabric with a brown grosgrain band above it.  On one side, there is beaded writing in green beads above the design, possibly a name, but I haven't been able to decipher it.  The bag is a really artful and attractive piece and would be a good piece for someone who appreciates the unusual.
