Antique Sioux Dentalium Shell Earrings

Classic Sioux dentalium shell earrings strung on sinew and separated by a strip of red dyed raw hide.  Each band has 10 dentalium shells, although one is missing from the 2nd band of one of the earrings. The shells are of various shades of browns and yellows with few retaining the bright white they would have had when new.  The earrings are missing most of their drops at the bottom with only three left on one and two on the other.
