Eastern Plateau Partially Beaded High TopMoccasins
These are a striking pair of woman's high top moccasins from Eastern Washington with a colorful floral design on the vamp of the moccasins . The design has a multicolored large flower at the back of the vamp attached to a large figure which I believe is a huckleberry blossom with a bell shape and scalloped front. An unusual part of the design is a very attractive scalloped band in pink and blue beads extending all the way around the ankle. The beads in the design are all tiny faceted beads. The edge of tops have all been cut in a tiny zigzag pattern. The toe of the left foot has some minor insect grazing next to the beadwork which is visible in the main photograph.
