Chehalis Figural Oval Basket

This is a very visual Washington basket with a wide band with several large red deer and one red man around the body. This is bordered on both sides with a band of dark design elements. It has a braided rim and two thin handles in braided red and green raffia. The basket has a thin wide piece of wood attached to the inside of the bottom by thread to keep the bottom flat.
