Pictorial Cornhusk Bag with Tree Design

A beautiful Plateau cornhusk bag with five trees on one side with "star" design in lines on them. The back has three colorful horizontal designs. The bag is finely and evenly woven with all wool yarn designs on the front and back. The gray in the central tree and in the two outer designs on the reverse was originally a dark blue which has faded to the gray. The warp in the bag is native material and the weft is commercial.
