Baffin Island Dog Sled

This is a very charming dog sled with six huskies and a driver.  It was collected between 1946 and 1949 in Pangnirtung, Baffin Island.  The dogs are really charming with their tails curved above their backs.  They are all wearing tiny hide harnesses ready to be attached to the lines going back to the sled.  The sled has the remnants of the harness and could be set up again. The sled has a soft white fur covering upon which the driver sits with arms outstretched to hold the lines.  However, its the dogs that will get to you. They are alert and ready to travel, each with its own personality.
